100 word challenge Did you ever hear about the time I was in Alcatraz? It was midnight on the 1 st of June and I was touring around Alcatraz prison. One of the guards let me check out a cell and after I entered they closed the cell door. As the door slammed I knew they must have thought I was a criminal called ‘Desousito’ who had been on the run for ages. I said “hey I am not the infamous criminal ‘Desousito’. I am innocent! “Nice try ‘Desousito’ you are gonna be in here for twenty years for stealing the diamonds from the queen’s crown” they said. I started crying as I don’t have a lawyer to vouch for me and I reckon I will be here for a while... to be continued

… “This won’t EVER end, will it?” I say to the mad professor, who as usual, isn’t here. I sigh. I look at my surroundings. Nothing of use , I say in my head. I look around again. Nope . I sigh again. “Okay, I have to do this or I’m going to be here for the rest of my life.” I think of my family, and how scared they must be. Suddenly, the screen that shows his face, the one that’s usually black, flashes white. Instantly after flashing white, colour flows into the screen. “Why, if it isn’t my little guinea pig,” He says, with a wry, twisted smile as usual. “I’m not afraid of you,” I say, grasping my arm. “Why, where did you get that wound, the crocodiles or the sharks?” I say nothing, trying hard not to let blood out from my fingers. I let go of my arm. The door is open! I think. I then sprint towards the exit. As the door slams, I know what has happened. He has been tricking me. I open it anyway. It isn’t an exit at all. BREAKING NEWS Man found dead in lab. The room he was found in was covered in a stiff, purple padding material. The man was found near a pit filled with deadly scorpions. When we interviewed the owner of the lab, all he said was this: “I don’t know either how he got here, nor why the pit was filled with anything, let alone scorpions .” Many think he is lying, but, aside from his pleads of innocence, we have no reason not to call the police.  The police have checked the camera footage, as well as microphones that he had placed for unknown reasons, to check what happened in the lab from precisely 22:59 to 24:00. The man’s family have heard and seen the footage and have seen something odd. The man was put through three tasks, first being a tank of crocodiles, then a pack of lions, then he was found dead near the scorpions, he seems to have fallen into a stream of water. The man’s family has called the police. The professor was arrested later that day.

My Most Precious Possession It sits on my desk in my bedroom and it stores soldiers inside. It was the first thing my grandad made out of wood for me and it is painted grey. I was given it for my 10 th birthday two years ago. I remember being super excited when I got it from my grandad. It has four “towers” and there is an open “door” which lets me put in and take the soldiers out of it. There is also a platform for the soldiers to stand and “shoot” from. I would be very sad if it were to break or get lost as it is so special to me. I have had many hours of fun with this toy.

I looked at it, confusedly. Why did I get this as a present? It’s shiny and looks like it’s worth a lot , but that doesn’t mean I have to like it. In fact, I don’t. I really don’t. I can’t sell it though, I don’t have the heart to. Instead I’m just going to sit here and decide what to do. Maybe I can use it, somehow . I’m not sure, not at all. I mean, it’s nice, and I can tolerate it, and it is dazzlingly beautiful, but we just don’t have the space for one. Maybe it’ll fit on our mantle. I hope so… 

… This is too much… WAY too much… I don’t really think I can take it. This is just plain scary… they really chose a bad day for a dare… I wish I could see them now, but I can only barely hear them . I can’t take this anymore. “HELP, SOMEBODY, PLEASE HELP ME!” I screamed at the top of my lungs. But no-one answered . “You can scream as loud as you want, no-one will hear. My lab is SOUND PROOF! Now… on with the experiment!” The professor shouted, flipping a switch. The last thing I could see was a dog. But this was no ordinary dog, quite the opposite as a matter of fact. It was a human. A human transformed into a dog . And said dog was wearing glasses. I was suddenly shocked with at LEAST 100,000 volts of electricity. And that was too much for me, so I blacked out. The next day, I awoke, only to find myself in a cage. And next thing, the professor walked in and dropped a bowl of disgusting, mushy slop into my cage. “You’d better eat up, you’re going to be here for quite a while,”...
