Shadows

James stayed in the shadows and looked upwards. He had a puzzled expression on his face. This was his doing, wasn’t it? “Hmm…” he mumbled to no-one but himself. This is strange, he thought. “It’s the same as the others…” But how did he get up there? He frowned. There he was. “This was your doing, wasn’t it?” The man said nothing. “Answer me,” he said. The man still said nothing. Then, out of nowhere, the man murmured to himself. James heard something behind him. He looked back. Nothing. Suddenly, a shadow crept up from behind him, pulling him back. To be Continued…

China

China I was riding my bike when I saw a giant china teacup on its side in a field. I got off my bike to explore. I climbed into the cup and suddenly I was transported to a world where it was all a giant china tea set. In the distance I could see a giant castle. I rode my bike over to it. There I confronted the king on his cup throne. “Where am I?” I asked. “We are in China, but not the China you know,” he answered. At that moment I was desperate for a cuppa tea!

Hollow

Midnight neared. Daniel strode down the path. He was looking around and could swear he saw a figure run down an alleyway. He saw the town statue in the park, a massive cup, embedded in at least a metre or two of grass. He saw the figure again. It ran at a speed that no human could reach, except James, and stopped behind the statue. “Is that you James?” Daniel called out. It lumbered out from behind the statue with a slight limp. Daniel growled with anger. The creature growled back. An Elemental Hollow. Daniel held his hand out, and water shot from his palm. The Hollow was pushed back. It growled ferociously at him. Suddenly, Daniel felt sick, and dizzy. He held out his hand, then a small orb appeared from his palm. It grew, then shot at the Hollow, destroying it completely. Daniel acted like nothing had happened. He continued to walk.

Elemental

James stood in the doorway, waiting for Daniel to arrive. He waited, a bright, searing flame coming from his palm. Daniel’s always late, and he calls himself the leader, but what if I was in charge? He saw a silhouette striding down the hallway. The bird perched on James’ shoulder, a phoenix, looked wary. “Strange,” James murmured to himself, “he’s never this tense…” The silhouette neared and James realised why his pet was wary. This wasn’t Daniel. The creature lumbered in, it was made of rock and dirt. James sprung and smashed into it with a kick, knocking some of its boulders off, as well as a pile of dirt. He landed, the creature swinging its arm. James dodged with a backflip. He clicked his finger and ran. Suddenly, he heard a sound louder than anything he’d ever heard. He had blown it to pieces.
